I can't believe no one has anything to say!
That was way flipping cool! I can't believe this guy is going to come play with us!
I've read it before, but have never seen it.
Made me feel like I was back in the locker room getting psyched up for a game. Very powerful.
The call home gives me chills
The thing is this...do teachers really believe they make a difference or that they have the ability never mind the opportunity to do so? Do they even want to?
Can we all really say
"I make kids wonder,
I make them question.
I make them criticize.
I make them apologize and mean it.
I make them write, write, write.
And then I make them read."
We have a reading and advisory program that a large percent of the staff doesn't believe in or even regard as somewhat beneficial to students. It is sad.
I have also read this before but it is so much better seeing it performed. I wish I had such passion.
OMG!!! This guy needs to go to every university where people are studying to become teachers, and give this speech!!! I was soooo moved, and just want to share this with ANYONE who has ever asked me that exact question!!! We CAN and DO make a difference whether we think so or not!!!
Thank you soooooo much Taylor!!!, I'd love to meet him someday!
This guy is AMAZING, and soooo POWERFUL!!! This video should be shown to every student going to college to be a teacher!!! It just makes me more passionate about my decision to become a teacher!!! And I also want to show this to everyone who has ever asked me that same question!!
Thank you Taylor!!! I'd love to meet him someday!!!
